Blogspot Url Redirecting To Country Specific Url

Google is discovered a new system that automatically redirects users to country-specific URLs that match their IP address' location, in india blogspot.com change to blogspot.in. Another example if you're in Australia and viewing blogname.blogspot.com, you might be redirected blogname.blogspot.com.au
If you are from other country try to visit any BlogSpot URL then URL you visited has been redirected to the country code Top Level Domain (CCTLD).The change is live in India but Google, according to this support page, is planning to take a similar approach in other countries as well

Why This Url Change Is Happening

Why is Google switching to country-specific url(CCTLD). Simple this gives them the ability to censor content hosted on Blogger country wise.

How To View A Blogspot.com Blog Without The Country Specific URLS

If you're unhappy with Country Specific TLD and want to stick with correct URL, you can temporarily opt-out this redirection with NCR option. NCR stands for (No Country Redirect) is used to prevent redirection and display correct version of URL For example http://tricksum.blogspot.com/ncr

The Problem with Redirecting URLs

The above change is applicable only for free blogs that are served from blogspot.com and does not affect Blogger blogs that use a custom domain. Those who are already using Custom Domain for their blog they should not see any visible differences to their blog other than the URL redirecting to a CCTLD

Will this effect search engine optimization on my blog

Yes it might effect, after this change crawlers will find Blogspot content on many different domains. Hosting duplicate content on different domains can affect search results.

Solution For This Effect

A possible solution is that you add the canonical meta tag to your blog template and point it to your original .com URLs. Here’s how you do it.

Search for the following line in your Blog Template and make sure it is there. In-case, if you're unable to find in blog template, don't worry you can still add this line of code to your template below the <head> section

Then you can add following line of code in your template between the <head> and </head> tags

This canonical tag, help your blog in search engines that even if they encounter our blog page with a .in address, they should only consider the .com address as that’s the original source.Drop your comment below about blogspot url Redirecting....

Google Disappoint, Revenues Bad Than They Expected

The search giant posted record-breaking quarterly revenue of $10.58 billion.Google reported a 27% increase in revenues for the last 3 months of 2011.Google shares fell 10% in after-hours trading to $575.It reported 3-month revenues of $10.6bn (£6.8bn). Its net profit rose 6.4% to $2.7bn.
"Google had a really strong quarter ending a great year," said chief executive Larry Page.
"I am super excited about the growth of Android, Gmail, and Google+, which now has 90 million users globally - well over double what I announced just three months ago."

It came as fellow technology firms Microsoft and Intel also posted results for the same period.
Microsoft posted flat earnings of $6.62bn in the same quarter, seeing strong business demand for software and services.
Intel, the world's largest chipmaker, posted a better-than-expected 6% rise in earnings to $3.36bn, even though floods in Thailand knocked out factories that produce hard drives and components.China now has 20% consumption of the personal PC market - there are about one million PCs 'consumed' every day globally and there is still lots of growth, especially the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China."
But analysts were less impressed with Google's figures.
"Expectations were very high and they have missed that," said Trip Chowdhry, from Global Equities Research.
"Unlike Microsoft and Intel, estimates for Google have been rising for a few months."
The number of clicks on Google's search adverts rose significantly in the fourth quarter, but the amount that Google was able to charge advertisers for each click fell 8%.
"Expectations had got ahead of themselves for Google, largely because investors don't have a good feel for what happens outside the US," said Jordan Rohan from Stifel Nicolaus.

"North America has remained strong, but there are parts of the world where there's a lot of economic pressure. I would have to assume Europe, particularly Germany and some others, undergoing austerity measures. The underlying demand in those countries is weak."
For the full year, Google reported a 29% rise in revenue to $37.9bn, with net profit up 14% to $9.7bn.

Also weighing on Google’s quarterly results: operating expenses, which climbed 35 percent, to $3.38 billion in the fourth quarter, in part because of Google’s aggressive hiring and increased spending on advertising

how to Add Adsense To Blogger inside the blog Posts

You must have seen many blogs displaying Adsense ads below the Blog Title or at the end of the post and must have tried doing the same without any success. The main problem is that Blogger doesn't allow you to add the Adsense code directly to your blog template.

For adding Adsense to your blog post you have to first convert the Adsense code and then it is possible to add the code to your blog template without any error. Visit the Free Adsense Ad Code Converter For website and Blogger to convert the code.

Now that you have converted the Adsense code by visiting the above link

its time to paste the code in the Blogger template.

Step 1:

Login to your Blogger Account.Click on Design>Edit HTML>Click on Expand Widget Templates

Step 2:

Now search the following code in the template

If you want to display the ads at the start of the post, then paste the code above <data:post.body/> and if you want to display the ads at the end of the post, then paste the code below it. However you will have to add the Adsense code between two lines of code before adding it to the template.

Now paste the Adsense code between these two lines of code

The main reason for pasting the Adsense code between the 2 lines is that it wont display the ads on the Home Page. The ads will be visible only when you visit the blog post. This is important as Google allows only 3 ad units per page. Most of the blogs display 5 posts per page, because of which 5 ad units will be visible on the Home Page which is against the rules. But if you want to display the ads on the Home Page and have only 3 or less posts per page, then you don't need to add the above code to your Adsense code.

Now save the template and check your blog posts. The adsense code will be visible in the posts.

Submit Blogger Sitemap to Google

One of the most important ways to attract traffic to your site is to ensure that your Blogger (Blogspot) blog is properly indexed by popular search engines such as Google. If you want to increase your chances of having your site quickly indexed by the Google search engine it pays to submit your site and your feed. In this tutorial we will be covering the process of signing up with Google, authenticating your site and adding your site feed to Google webmaster tools....

go to your webmaster tool account, click on the Add a Sitemap (Which is in the Sitemaps tab). By adding a Sitemap, you will be providing Google with more details and information about your Blog. With this, Google will crawl your site, report information on any errors in the Sitemaps tab, and index your Blog site at a faster rate.
This will take you to another screen where you should choose the type “Submit a Sitemap”. The Sitemap URL for any normal website is usually the index page that is stored in the highest-level directory of that site. In the case of Blogger.com or Blogspot.com, the only way to add a Sitemap is to use either of the following 2 Sitemaps

http://your blog name.blogspot.com/rss.xml or

http://your blog name.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Once you have added your Sitemaps, you will receive a confirmation telling you that "You have recently submitted one or more Sitemaps for this site. Processing Sitemaps may take some time. Check again later to see if pages from your Sitemaps are included in Google's index." Done! You have successfully added your Sitemaps. When you login to your Google Webmaster days later, you should be able to see the indexed pages and statistics of Google webcrawl of your Blog.

Increase Your Alexa and PageRank on Your Website

PageRank is used to increase your SEO (Search Engine Optimized)
What is Google Page Rank?

Google Page Rank as Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, said it is an instrument designed to classify sites that are indexed by the Google search engine. Page rank can range from 0-10, 0 is the lowest score possible for a site, while 10 is the greatest. The bigger the page rank of a site with both receiving a greater number of visitors. A page rank grater then 2 is ok, page rank over 4 is excellent!
Ok, now you know what is Google Page Rank. But how exactly is it calculated?
Google uses a very complicated mathematical formula to determine the rank of a page.
When Google evaluates a site, taking into account several factors. The first is the general layout of the site and how is it complete. Google do not like sending the search engine to map incomplete websites, you should only send your site map when it is completely finished.

The second major factor is the use of keywords. Google favors sites with good use of keywords. They like a keyword density of 5-7%. Another important factor are the external links. Google loves when other sites send backlinks to your website. Another important factor is how often your site is updated. Google hates old sites, so be sure to update your site very often. All these factors are the basis of what is called Google Page Rank

The good thing about Google Page Rank is that it can be improved quite easily. Apply the following suggestions to improve your rank:
1. Create a site that is optimized for search engines. Your site should be full of quality content and your main keywords. Try to reach a keyword density of 3-5% and make sure that all keywords and content are in line with goal.
2. Use proper title and meta tags. One of the important factors in search engine optimization is the titles and meta tags. When you use them make sure the title is appropriate to your site and META tags are describing your site very well.
3. Submit your site map to Google. Do this only when the site is complete.
How can I increase Alexa rank?
To improve your Alexa rank you need to improve your traffic received by your site. There are many programs on the net who claim they can improve your Alexa rank, but generally they are not effective and may do more harm than good in terms of rank your site. Do not try to register your site to 300,000 search engines, it's the worst thing you can do!

There is a software called eMarketing Helper, with the help of this software you can increase your website rank on auto pilot, I suggest you should try it:

What is Alexa Rank?

Alexa rank ranges from 1 to 1 billion, or even more, depending on the number of existing sites. Each site found on the Internet is included in the Alexa network, so you're basically competing with everyone. The main goal is to have a rank as high (usually 1-700.000 is considered a good ranking). You can find your Alexa rank directly accessing Alexa.com and searching for your website.
